How do I know my terrazzo has lost its polish?

Terrazzo that was waxed or coated over the years often looks yellow, cloudy or sticky. We strip that layer with the right stripper and machine agitation, then rinse the floor so nothing is left behind.
Once the coating is gone, you can see what the terrazzo really looks like. Sometimes that alone is the whole job.
pH-neutral cleaning for the matrix
For routine and deep cleaning we use pH-neutral cleaners. They lift soil without attacking the cement or epoxy that holds the chips.
Why acid and harsh alkaline cleaners cause damage
Cement terrazzo has a calcium-based binder, and marble chips react to acid the same way marble tile does. Bathroom acids, vinegar and some "heavy duty" products etch the surface and leave dull marks.
Strong alkaline strippers used too long or left to dry can burn the sealer and dry out the matrix. Epoxy terrazzo handles chemicals better, but harsh products still dull the finish.
When cleaning alone brings it back
